Payment to artists
Mimi Aboriginal Art and Craft is a 100% Aboriginal owned, not-for-profit art centre. Artists receive 60% of the sale price of each artwork that you purchase. The art centre commission percentage is used to support artists to create artworks and operate the art centre. This includes, but is not limited to the purchase and allocation of tools and materials such as paints, canvas, files, saws, knives, sandpaper etc. Also, to maintain art centre vehicle(s) including fuel for bush trips to harvest materials, as well as artists’ travel to exhibitions, workshops, and markets etc.
Mimi Aboriginal Art and Craft guarantees all artwork shown is authentic Aboriginal art. Every painting is accompanied by a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity that tells the ‘story’ relating to the artwork and information about the artist.
It is very important to us that you are happy with your purchase. If not, we will fully refund you for the value of the artwork, minus the freight costs. You must notify the art centre within 7 days of receiving the artwork if you are not fully satisfied. You need only pay the cost of returning the painting to the art centre. The artwork must be returned in its original condition with all of its accompanying documentation for the guarantee to apply. Money-back guarantees are not applicable to small merchandise items.
Mimi Aboriginal Art and Craft works to ensure that all items for purchase on the website are available and correctly priced. Enquiries about artwork will be addressed as soon as possible to confirm availability.
