Born in Maningrida, NT. Lurick was the oldest son of Paddy Fordham Wainbarrunga and inherited his ceremonial and cultural responsibilities from his father. Since Wainbarrunga passed away Lurick’s painting style altered to a very similar style to his fathers.

A true family man, Lurick lived his life in Ngukurr with his wife and family.

Tragically, Lurick passed away April 2015
